About Me

My name is Aubrey Ellis, I am a 19 year old who is working towards independence. I have had a passion for art since I was able to hold a pencil. My dream is to use my art as a pathway to independence and adulthood. More so, I wish to use my art to uphold my voice, my identity, and use my creativity to create change for the better.

Creating is apart of being human. Creativity is what shows me I have a soul, an identity, something greater than my flesh. Reading, collecting and witnessing art is what connects me to humans on a deeper level than flesh. My dream is to use my art as a means to connect, love, and live. Who am I if not an artist. Sure I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, but at my core I create. I will use my art as an act of expression, I will use my art as a political voice, I will use my art to survive.
